Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br /> No reportable action taken. <br /> 11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> City Councilmembers report on their activities, including attendance at Intergovernmental <br /> Agency meetings. conferences and seminars, and local events, and make brief announcements <br /> on issues of concern. <br /> Vice Mayor Reed reported that she kicked off the KaBOOM! Build Day at Toyon Park this <br /> past Saturday. She expressed appreciation to Amgen for funding the project, and the <br /> Recreation and Human Services staff members for their coordination. <br /> Councilmember Starosciak reported that the Alameda County Transportation Commission <br /> (CTC) has opened the 1 -680 HOT (high - occupancy toll) lane from Sunol to Fremont. the first <br /> of its kind in Northern California. The toll is deducted from the vehicle's FasTrak, and <br /> revenue will be used to fund roadway maintenance. <br /> Councilmember Prola commented on Mr. Saunders' letter regarding the local restrictions on <br /> RV parking. He reported that he attended the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District <br /> Board meeting; San Leandro Unified School District's Measure M meeting; the Measure M <br /> fundraiser hosted by Dale and Michael Gregory; a reception for "My Town, My Life, My <br /> Story: Graphic Novels about Growing up in San Leandro," by local teens; the San Leandro <br /> by Design program at the Main Library; the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee <br /> meeting; the Toyon Park playground Build Day; the San Leandro Health Fair hosted by <br /> Assemblymember Hayashi; and the 1 -580 ribbon cutting for the Redwood Road interchange. <br /> Councilmember Stephens commented on several new restaurants and other amenities he <br /> discovered during his walks through various parts of the city. He expressed appreciation to <br /> City staff for keeping Marina Park so clean and well- maintained. <br /> Councilmember Souza thanked Recreation and Human Services Director Carolyn Knudtson <br /> for spearheading the KaBOOM! playground campaign and creating the opportunity for the <br /> residents to have fun. She asked if a plaque could be erected at the park. Councilmember <br /> Souza commented on using the new HOT lane. She encouraged people to attend an <br /> upcoming presentation on Ranked- Choice Voting. <br /> Councilmember Gregory commented that the Rotary Club has just posted a YouTube video <br /> of the Toyon Park Build Day. He reported on several sessions he attended at the recent <br /> League of California Cities' annual conference. Councilmember Gregory commended <br /> Engineering and Transportation Director Uche Udemezue for his appointment to the League's <br /> Public Works Officers Department Executive Committee. He reported on the League's <br /> contentious Friday vote to defer action on AB 32 and SB 375. <br />
