MINUTES Page 10 City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting — September 20, 2010 Construction of the Estudillo Callan 2008 Parking Garage Project, Which Is of Benefit to the Plaza Redevelopment Project Area and the Alameda County -City of San Leandro Redevelopment Project Area, Authorizing a Cooperation Agreement Between the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro and the City of San Leandro for Cooperation in Performance of Redevelopment Activities Within the Project Areas for the Estudillo Callan Parking Garage Project Authorizing an Additional Appropriation of $500,000 of Plaza Redevelopment Project Area Funds, and Award of Contract to Webcor Construction for the Estudillo Callan 2008 Parking Garage, Project No. 08- 962 -86 -067. City Engineer Ken Joseph gave a PowerPoint presentation, describing the proposed Estudillo Callan Parking Garage project design, costs, funding and project schedule. Business Development Manager Cynthia Battenberg continued the presentation, providing additional information on the project, its benefits, and its consistency with the TOD Strategy, General Plan and Council policy. • Resolution No. 2010 -125, Resolution of the City Council of the City of San Leandro Approving a Cooperation Agreement Between the City of San Leandro and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro for the Purpose of Undertaking Redevelopment Activities Within the Plaza Project Area at a Cost Not to Exceed Eleven Million Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($11,450,000) to the Redevelopment Agency, Authorizing the Expenditure of Tax Increment Funds for Public Improvements and Public Facilities, and Adopting Findings Required by Health and Safety Code Section 33445.1 (provides for the replacement of an existing 2 -level parking garage with a 4 -level parking structure).
