Springlake Drive Road Rehab — Accepting Work 2 December 6, 2010 new curb ramps per current Americans with Disabilities Act standards. The project also involved removal of the asphalt surface layer, mixing the existing road base with cement for strength and repaving the riding surface with asphalt. Work was completed on September 30, 2010. Previous City Council Action(s) • On June 15, 2009. by Resolution No. 2009 -087, the City Council approved a resolution of local support for the application for State ARRA funding and stating the assurance to complete the project • On June 15, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009 -088, the City Council authorized the City Manager to appropriate $350,000 of State ARRA grant funds. • On June 15, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009 -089, the City Council authorized the City Manager to advertise and award the subject project • On December 21. 2009, by Resolution No. 2009 -168, the City Council approved Program Supplement Agreement No. 016 -N to administering agency -state agreement no. 04 -5041 R to accept federal funds for the subject project Applicable General Plan Policy This action is consistent with Streets and Highway Goal No. 16 of the General Plan and Action Item 16.03 -A: Funding for Maintenance. Environmental Review The State determined this project as a NEPA Categorical Exclusion under 23 CFR 771.117(d), activity d(I). Summary of Public Outreach Efforts • The Contractor, Bay Cities Paving and Grading, Inc., distributed informational flyers to nearby residents prior to start of construction • Engineering and Transportation staff held a public meeting on the evening of May 4, 2010 at the Manor Branch Library Fiscal impact The total cost of the project was $296,455.63. The cost of the construction contract is as follows: Original Contract $291,887.73 Contract Change Orders $ 4,567.90 Total Contract Amount $296.455.63
