Springlake Drive Road Rehab — Accepting Work 2 December 6, 2010 <br /> new curb ramps per current Americans with Disabilities Act standards. The project also <br /> involved removal of the asphalt surface layer, mixing the existing road base with cement for <br /> strength and repaving the riding surface with asphalt. Work was completed on September 30, <br /> 2010. <br /> Previous City Council Action(s) <br /> • On June 15, 2009. by Resolution No. 2009 -087, the City Council approved a resolution of <br /> local support for the application for State ARRA funding and stating the assurance to <br /> complete the project <br /> • On June 15, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009 -088, the City Council authorized the City <br /> Manager to appropriate $350,000 of State ARRA grant funds. <br /> • On June 15, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009 -089, the City Council authorized the City <br /> Manager to advertise and award the subject project <br /> • On December 21. 2009, by Resolution No. 2009 -168, the City Council approved Program <br /> Supplement Agreement No. 016 -N to administering agency -state agreement no. 04 -5041 R to <br /> accept federal funds for the subject project <br /> Applicable General Plan Policy <br /> This action is consistent with Streets and Highway Goal No. 16 of the General Plan and Action <br /> Item 16.03 -A: Funding for Maintenance. <br /> Environmental Review <br /> The State determined this project as a NEPA Categorical Exclusion under 23 CFR 771.117(d), <br /> activity d(I). <br /> Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br /> • The Contractor, Bay Cities Paving and Grading, Inc., distributed informational flyers to <br /> nearby residents prior to start of construction <br /> • Engineering and Transportation staff held a public meeting on the evening of May 4, 2010 at <br /> the Manor Branch Library <br /> Fiscal impact <br /> The total cost of the project was $296,455.63. The cost of the construction contract is as follows: <br /> Original Contract $291,887.73 <br /> Contract Change Orders $ 4,567.90 <br /> Total Contract Amount $296.455.63 <br />
