Hollister, City Manager <br /> VIA: Lianne Marshall, Assistant City Manager T - <br /> BY: Louise Keniston, Sr. Human Resources Analyst <br /> SUBJECT PROJ ECT/PROJ ECT DESCRIPTION: <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND THE SAN LEANDRO MANAGEMENT <br /> ORGANIZATION (SLMO). <br /> SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve a resolution ratifying the Memorandum of <br /> Understanding between the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro Management Organization <br /> covering the period of January. 1, 2011 through December 31, 2012. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The San Leandro Management Organization represents approximately 43 full and part -time <br /> management employees throughout the organization. The previous Memorandum of <br /> Understanding covered the period January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010. <br /> The City commenced negotiations for a successor labor agreement with SLMO representatives in <br /> November 2010. The negotiators have now reached a tentative agreement to extend the . <br /> agreement for two years with minor modifications and the opportunity to reopen for 2012. The <br /> Organization needs to ratify the agreement; if not ratified prior to the City Council meeting, the <br /> item will be pulled. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The major elements of the tentative agreement include the following: <br /> Duration: Two years, starting January 1, 2011 and ending December 31, 2012. <br /> Wages: No increase during the term of the agreement. <br />
