Councilmember Souza asked if the City could hold PG &E <br /> accountable for holding up the project. Uche Udemezue stated that would be a legal <br /> issue. If the contractor claims delay of work. the City can try to get compensation from <br /> PG &E. Councilmember Souza stated her concerns regarding this being a safety issue and <br /> asked staff to reach out to the PG &E representatives who gave a presentation at the <br /> November 9, 2010 Facilities and Transportation Committee meeting. <br /> • 2660 Eden Road Grading and Dirt Disposal <br /> o Project is currently in progress <br /> o Separation of the clean part of the dirt is being worked on <br /> • WPCP <br /> o Project is moving along <br /> o Heading toward final design <br /> o Continuing to pursue State Clean Water Revolving funds <br /> o Call for Bids planned for February 2011 <br /> Upcoming Projects: <br /> • East 14` Street Restriping <br /> o Broadmoor Boulevard to Hays Street <br /> o Item will be discussed on agenda <br /> • East 14 Street Light Replacement <br /> o Planned CaII for Bids — January 2011 <br /> o Start of Construction — Spring 2011 <br /> Discussion ensued. Councilmember Souza asked if the East 14` Street Light <br /> Replacement project will be energy efficient. Austine stated that LED lights will be used. <br /> Councilmember Gregory stated that staff needs to look at expanding security measures to <br /> people walking and biking or phase that into the project at a later date with infrastructure <br /> able to accommodate it. <br />
