Alameda County Fire: Battenberg explained the Alameda County Fire Department is <br /> currently looking for a new location for its administrative offices, training and <br /> maintenance facility and staff has met with a development teams that appear to have a <br /> viable proposal that would keep Alameda County Fire's facility in San Leandro. <br /> c. Odwalla: will be moving its warehouse and distribution operations from Berkeley to a <br /> 36,000 square foot space in the Alvarado Business Center at 2996 Alvarado Street. The <br /> facility will act as a major distribution hub and employ approximately 50 people. <br /> Odwalla is currently completing tenant improvements and plans to start operations in <br /> San Leandro on February l <br /> d. Foothill Square: staff met with Oakland Councilmember Larry Reid regarding the <br /> redevelopment of Foothill Square, the proposed redevelopment will include 300,000 ft. <br /> of retail along with a new Foods Co. grocery store. The project will benefit San Leandro <br /> and the minor traffic impacts to the MacArthur Blvd - Superior Avenue and MacArthur <br /> Blvd. - Durant Avenue intersections will require mitigation. <br /> 5. Public Comments: Lou Fillipovich spoke regarding his opposition to redevelopment. <br /> 6. Committee Member Comments <br /> 7.
