Hollister, City Manager City Manager <br /> FROM: Uche Udemezue, Direct <br /> Engineering & Transporta on Department <br /> BY: Keith Cooke, Principal Engineer <br /> En % r <br /> Engineering &Traransport rtation Departm n 6 <br /> SUBJECT PROJECT /PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT GRANTING <br /> LICENSE FOR A PIPELINE ALONG, IN, UNDER, THROUGH AND OVER CERTAIN <br /> PUBLIC STREETS, WAYS, ALLEYS, AND PLACES IN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> WITH SFPP L.P. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council adopt a resolution approving the amendment to the <br /> Agreement Granting License for a SFPP L.P. pipeline within the city of San Leandro. <br /> SUiMIMARY <br /> Staff recommends approval of Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement Granting License for a <br /> Pipeline Along, In, Under, Through, and Over Certain Public Streets, Ways, Alleys and Public <br /> Places within the city of San Leandro. The amendment maintains all of the existing <br /> requirements, adds requirements for bonding and safety, revises the fee calculation method to <br /> State standards, extends the term and updates the contact information. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> On July 1, 1968, Southern Pacific Pipelines and the City of San Leandro agreed to allow the <br /> transport of refined petroleum and other hydrocarbons through the city in underground pipelines <br /> for a term of 40 years. The pipelines have been constructed, maintained and operated within <br /> public right of way. Southern Pacific Pipelines has since changed its name to SFPP L.P. (also <br /> known as Kinder - Morgan SFPP, L.P.). The original agreement is attached as Attachment A. <br />
