Matter of Request of Mayor to Appoint Additional Members to the Shoreline <br /> Development Citizens Advisory Committee [Shoreline CAC]. <br /> Mr. Hollister reported that, at the special City Council meeting on January 10", Mayor <br /> Cassidy requested consideration by the Council to allow the appointment of additional <br /> members to the Shoreline Development Citizens Advisory Committee —three <br /> appointees by the Mayor and one by Councilmember Cutter. There was consensus of <br /> the Council to schedule this matter for consideration. <br /> Mr. Hollister noted that the work of the Shoreline CAC is winding down. While staff <br /> recommends that the matter be referred to the City Council Shoreline - Marina <br /> Committee for consideration, the Council could approve the Mayor's request if it chose <br /> to do so. <br /> Mayor Cassidy requested that Vice Mayor Reed preside over the meeting during this <br /> item. <br /> Councilmember Prola suggested that the matter be scheduled for the Shoreline- Marina <br /> Committee meeting that is scheduled for Tuesday, January 25`'. <br /> • Minute Order No. 2011 - 006, Motion Referring the Request for Additional <br /> Shoreline CAC Members to the City Council Shoreline - Marina Committee for <br /> Recommendation. <br /> The City Council referred the request for additional Shoreline CAC <br /> members to the City Council Shoreline- Marina Committee for <br /> recommendation. <br /> M/S/C Prola and Cassidy. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> City Councilmembers report on their activities, including attendance at Intergovernmental <br /> Agency meetings, conferences and seminars, and local events, and make brief announcements <br /> on issues of concern. <br /> Vice Mayor Reed attended the meeting of the Alameda County Housing Authority <br /> Commission, and reported on the number of housing vouchers issued by city; the number of <br /> San Leandro homes (1,352) subsidized by the Housing Authority; and the Safe Routes to <br /> Transit grant program. Vice Mayor Reed reported that the City is working with BART on <br /> improvements to the Bayfair BART station, which will be completed in the fall of 2011. She <br />
