Park Pathways (WW) — Accepting Work 2 February 22, 2011 <br /> Previous City Council Action(s) <br /> • On February 17, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009 -023, City Council authorized the application <br /> for grant funds from the East Bay Regional Park District under Measure WW, the Park Bond <br /> Extension <br /> • On June 7, 2010, by Resolution No. 2010 -063, City Council approved the plans and <br /> specifications and called for bids for the subject project <br /> • On July 19, 2010, by Resolution No. 2010 -098, City Council awarded the contract to Guerra <br /> Construction Group <br /> Applicable General Plan Policy <br /> Policy 14.07 Strive to achieve a more comfortable environment for pedestrians in all areas of <br /> San Leandro. <br /> Environmental Review <br /> This project is Categorically Exempt. <br /> Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br /> Signs provided by East Bay Regional Parks District were posted at each of the six parks and will <br /> remain for three years as a requirement of the grant. <br /> Fiscal Impact <br /> A summary of the construction contract with Guerra Construction Group is as follows: <br /> Original Contract $441,739.75 <br /> Contract Change Orders $ 64,548.92 <br /> Contract Reduction — crack sealing and slurry seal work ($ 19,071.01) <br /> to be performed by others <br /> Total Contract Amount $487,217.66 <br /> Change orders included asphalt to repair additional pathway areas and special treatment to <br /> strengthen soft sub -grade soils prior to paving. <br /> Budget Authority <br /> The improvements were funded using Measure WW grant funds provide by the East Bay <br /> Regional Parks District and appropriated in CIP Account No. 150 -38 -306. <br /> "i <br /> Tracy ' esely, i rce Director <br />
