DRAFT MINUTES Page 12 <br />Cite of San Leandro Cite Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting — February 22, 2011 <br />• Minute Order No. 2011-042, Motion Authorizing the Mayor to Appoint <br />Three Additional Members to the Shoreline Development Citizens Advisory <br />Committee [Shoreline CAC], Subject to Approval by the City Council. <br />The City Council authorized the Mayor to appoint three additional <br />members to the Shoreline Development Citizens Advisory Committee <br />[Shoreline CAC], subject to approval by the City Council. <br />M/S /C Gregory and Prola. Ayes: 5; Noes: 2 (Souza, Starosciak) <br />Rules and Communications Committee Meeting of January 27, 2011. Accepted <br />as submitted. <br />Recommendation for City Council Consideration: <br />a. Schedule consideration by the City Council of the proposed amendments to <br />San Leandro Municipal Code Section 6 -1- 430 —Off Street Parking of <br />Certain Size Vehicles, with an additional amendment to the ordinance to <br />allow up to 24 parking exemptions per year. <br />Vice Mayor Reed asked whether the Council could ask the two members of <br />the public who spoke in opposition to the ordinance for their input. She <br />pointed out that at the Rules and Communications Committee meeting, <br />members of the public were allowed to give their suggestions, and they <br />indicated that 24 exemptions per year was good. <br />Mayor Cassidy asked Mr. Saunders and Mr. Sautter what they felt was the <br />ideal number. Mr. Saunders and Mr. Sautter stated that they would like to <br />have a minimum of 48 exemptions per year. <br />Councilmember Prola suggested that the item be tabled and returned to the <br />Rules and Communications Committee for fiirther review. <br />Mayor Cassidy expressed concern about delaying the passage of the <br />proposed ordinance, as it is of substantial benefit to RV owners. He <br />suggested moving forward with the ordinance, and allowing the Rules <br />Committee to continue review of the matter. <br />Councilmember Souza supported the idea of having the Committee monitor <br />the issue.
