IN TFIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2011 - <br /> RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE BAY AREA RAPID TRANSIT <br /> (BART) - DOWNTOWN PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> • <br /> Recitals <br /> WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Transportation Commission awarded a Transportation for <br /> Livable Communities (TLC) grant to the City of San Leandro. <br /> WHEREAS, The City Manager has recommended that the said funds be used to fund the <br /> Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) - Downtown Pedestrian Improvement project. <br /> WHEREAS the City of San Leandro understands that the TLC funding is fixed at the <br /> programmed amount and any increase in project costs cannot be expected to be funded with <br /> additional TLC funds. <br /> NOV. THEREFORE. the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That an appropriation of funds be made in the amount of $1,916,033 from the following <br /> funds: <br /> • 51 from the Kaiser Community Impact Fund intended for traffic <br /> improvements in lieu of Development Fee for Street Improvements (DFSI) <br /> • $96,118 from the Development Fee for Street Improvements (DFSI) Fund for traffic <br /> equipment <br /> • $76,894 from Measure B Streets & Roads funds for street improvements <br /> • $211,458 from Measure B Bike & Pedestrian funds for pedestrian streetscape <br /> improvements <br /> • 5311 ,563 in grant funds <br /> Introduced by Councilmember and passed and adopted this 7 <br /> day of March 2011, by the following called vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: <br /> NOES: <br /> ABSENT: <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Marian Flanda, City Clerk <br /> G: \_Council Items In ProcessIMAR 071BART- Dwnlwn Ped Improv - APPROIBART- Downtown I'ed Improv • TLC APPROP RES.Doc <br />
