3 March 7, 2011 Of particular note in the above property list are the following: • 212 -290 Davis and 1199 East 14 Street have been designated for the future Davis/Hays (Town Hall Square) development, a priority site in the City's Transit Oriented Design Strategy. • 2512 Davis was recently purchased by the Agency for construction of Eden Road. • 1550 East 14 Street has been designated for a future development and is also a priority site in the City's Transit Oriented Design Strategy. • 14901 East 14 Street is the site a of the planned "Triangle" streetscape improvement project. This site will ultimately become City right -of -way. • 268 Parrot and 1595 Washington (former EBMUD building) are being held for a future mixed use development. Sections 33430 and 33432 of the California Community Redevelopment Law, Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et sec, authorize a redevelopment agency to transfer property to the City or another public agency. Current City Council /Redevelopment Agency Policy • The San Leandro Redevelopment Agency 2010 -14 Implementation Plan outlines priority public improvement and development projects, many of which would not be possible without ownership of the land to be conveyed to the City Redevelopment Agency Action(s) • On September 20, 2010, by Resolution No. 2010 -008 RDA, the Board adopted the 2010 -2014 Implementation Plan for the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro. Financial Impact • None Budget Authority • N/A CONCLUSION To protect assets that are critical to the completion of identified priority projects, staff recommends authorization of a Disposition and Development Agreement between the Redevelopment Agency and City of San Leandro and authorization of the transfer of real property from the Agency to the City.
