Report from City Council Ad Hoc Committee to Develop the City Manager <br />Recruitment Process. <br />Mayor Cassidy provided a memo to the Council regarding the City Manager Search <br />Process. The memo detailed the process recommended by the Ad Hoc Committee. <br />In response to a question from Councilmember Cutter regarding public outreach, Mr. <br />Hollister reported that the recruitment brochure would be mailed to city managers <br />statewide; the position would be advertised in professional publications; citizen input <br />would be solicited via an online survey linked to the City website and advertised in the <br />San Leandro Times. <br />Councilmember Cutter congratulated the Ad Hoc Committee on its work. <br />Councilmember Prola stated that he preferred the City Manager live in San Leandro, <br />and that the auto allowance be eliminated. <br />Mayor Cassidy indicated that he would confirm the dates as the process moved forward. <br />G. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken <br />None. <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AND CALENDAR <br />City Councilmembers report on meetings and other local events attended since the last <br />meeting; report on attendance at conferences and seminars; make brief comments on issues of <br />concern; and announce calendar of upcoming events and coordinate attendance. <br />Mayor Cassidy commented that he would like the Calendar section of the agenda to be a <br />separate item from City Council Reports and Announcements. <br />Calendar Items: <br />Mayor Cassidy announced that he was notified today of a ceremony by the Portuguese <br />Fraternal Society of America at Root Park tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. No members of the Council <br />indicated that they could attend, and Mayor Cassidy will convey the City's apologies.
