DRAFT MINUTES Page 11 <br />Cite of San Leandro Cite Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting —March 7, 2011 <br />Cassidy announced that he would be attending the San Leandro Scholarship Foundation <br />Dinner on March 17 <br />Councilmember Starosciak announced that the Alameda County Transportation Commission <br />[Alameda CTC] will be holding an informational open house and workshop on the Alameda <br />Countywide Transportation Plan next Wednesday, March 16 in the Karp Room at the Main <br />Library. Everyone is encouraged to attend. <br />Councilmember Cutter announced an upcoming Broadmoor Neighborhood Association <br />meeting on Wednesday, March 16 Councilmember Cutter announced that she would be <br />attending the Fire Ops 101 class on March 19 <br />Councilmember Prola announced an upcoming fundraiser at The Englander, sponsored by <br />LeTip and benefitting the Davis Street Family Resource Center; a special City Council work <br />session on the Marina Harbor Basin Alternatives on March 21 and a Democratic Central <br />Committee St. Patrick's Day dinner at the Carpenters Hall on March 17 <br />Reports and Announcements: <br />Councilmember Gregory reported that he attended the California Conservatory Theatre <br />[CCT] fundraiser at the Marina Community Center; the Grand Opening of the East Bay <br />Regional Parks District Tidewater Boathouse; a State Budget presentation by Senator Corbett <br />and Treasurer Lockyer at the Main Library; the Drop Everything & Read event at McKinley <br />School; and the Downtown Business Association meeting. Councilmember Gregory reported <br />that he has been named alternate for Supervisor Wilma Chan on the Alameda CTC. <br />Councilmember Souza reported that she attended the Tidewater Boathouse opening. She <br />stated that she would like to see members of the Council try to include information on <br />ordinance changes, such as the RV ordinance, in the homeowners association newsletters in <br />their districts. Councilmember Souza commented that she is looking forward to Fire Ops <br />101, and to the Council's lobbying trip to Washington, D.C. <br />Councilmember Starosciak commented on the recent meeting of the Alameda CTC, reporting <br />that the Alameda CTC will attempt to secure funding for crossing guards for the countywide <br />Safe Routes to Schools program. On March 1 the call for projects was announced for both <br />the Regional Transportation Plan and Countywide Transportation Plan. The City should <br />submit its transportation projects for both Plans this month if possible for inclusion in the <br />Plans, and she stressed the importance of the March 16 meeting for residents to provide <br />input on possible transportation projects. Councilmember Starosciak stated that she would <br />like to understand the plan for gap funding for the LR�KS Shuttle if RDA funding is <br />eliminated. <br />Councilmember Cutter commented on the RV parking ordinance, asking if there is a way to <br />inform residents about the provisions of the ordinance, and how to apply for a permit. <br />Councilmember Cutter requested that tonight's meeting be adjourned in memory of James <br />Eric Davidson, Jr., a San Leandro High School alumnus and athlete. <br />
