Councilmember Souza (Chair), <br /> Councilmember Starosciak <br /> City staff present: Keith Cooke, Ken Joseph, Lianne Marshall, Kathy Ornelas, Nick <br /> Thom, Uche Udemezue <br /> Outside Presenters: None <br /> Public present: None <br /> The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m. <br /> 1. Discussion Regarding Project Updates <br /> Project Updates will be discussed at the April 12, 2011 Facilities Committee Meeting. <br /> 2. Discussion Regarding Eden Road Potential Assessment District Review <br /> Uche Udemezue gave a brief overview of the Eden Road Potential Assessment District <br /> Review. Nick Thom then gave a PowerPoint presentation. He explained that Eden Road <br /> does not meet City standards due to its sub - standard development. Assessment Districts <br /> are a tool that can be used to finance proposed work. Staff will outreach to property <br /> owners who will be affected by the Assessment District explaining the process, benefits <br /> and costs. <br /> Discussion ensued and staff responded to questions from the Committee. <br /> Councilmember Starosciak stated that she feels that there is no other alternative than to <br /> proceed with an Assessment District. Committee members concurred with her statement. <br />
