Water is provided to the City of San <br /> Leandro by the East Bay Municipal Utilities District (EBMUD), which gets 95 percent of its water <br /> supply from Sierra Nevada snowmelt. About two- thirds of the City. including the project site, is <br /> served by a City -owned and operated sanitary sewer system. The wastewater treatment plant for this <br /> system is located at the west end of Davis Street. The City storm drain system is owned and <br /> maintained by the City of San Leandro Department of Public Works. Alameda County Industries <br /> contracts with the City of San Leandro to provide solid waste and recycling collection to portions of <br /> the City, including the project area.
