2013 RTP and 2012 CWTP 5 April 4, 201 1 <br /> final list of projects included in the CWTP and TEP will not be as constrained as the list <br /> submitted for the RTP. <br /> If you have any other projects that should be considered or that have been overlooked, please <br /> forward them to Keith Cooke by April 5, 2011. This will allow staff time to compile them, <br /> complete estimates and submit them to ACTC /MTC for the April 12, 2011 submittal deadline. <br /> Please contact Keith Cooke at (51 0) 577 -3439 or at KCooke @sanleandro.org if you have any <br /> questions. <br /> City Council Committee Review and Action <br /> The Facilities and Transportation Committee reviewed initial project suggestions at its March 8, <br /> 2011 meeting. <br /> Applicable General Plan Policy <br /> 13.01 DECISION- MAKING: Ensure that future land use and development decisions are in <br /> balance with the capacity of the City's transportation system. <br /> 13.02 KEEPING PACE WITH GROWTH: Improve transportation infrastructure at a rate that <br /> keeps pace with growth. <br /> 13.04 TRANSIT- ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT: Ensure that properties adjacent to the City's <br /> BART stations and along heavily used public transit routes are developed in a way that <br /> maximizes the potential for transit use. Such development should be of particularly high quality, <br /> include open space and other amenities, and respect the scale and character of nearby <br /> neighborhoods. <br /> Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br /> An Alameda Countywide Transportation Plan update meeting was held at the San Leandro Main <br /> Library on March 16, 2011. The meeting was organized by the ACTC and City staff was in <br /> attendance. Notes from the meeting have been forwarded to staff. <br /> Fiscal Impact <br /> There are no immediate fiscal impacts for the submission of projects for the RTP and CWTP. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager or his designee to submit a <br /> list of projects similar in form to the list included in this report and as modified by direction of <br /> the City Council for the 2013 RTP and 2012 CWTP. <br /> GL Council Items In Process\APR 04\2013 RTP & 2012 CWTP Submitta112013 RTP & 2012 CwrP.Docs <br />
