City shall maintain during the life of this Agreement all of the insurance required by this section and shall submit certificates of insurance for review and approval by Port. The certificates shall be on forms provided by City's insurance carrier. Acceptance of the certificates shall not relieve City of any of these insurance requirements nor decrease the liability of City. Port reserves the right to require City to provide insurance policies for review by Port. The certificates of insurance shall evidence the following types and amounts of coverage: (a) Worker's Compensation Insurance. City shall maintain Worker's Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance for all of its employees related to the operation and maintenance of the Connecting Trail on City Property. City shall require any subcontractor involved in operation and maintenance of the Connecting Trail on City Property, if any to provide it with evidence of Worker's Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance, all in strict compliance with California State laws. (b) Public Liability Insurance. City shall take out and maintain Commercial Automobile (including Hired and Non -Owned Autos) and Commercial General Liability Insurance that provides protection for claims that may arise from operations or performance under this Agreement. City shall require any contractor involved in the operations or performance of City work under this Agreement to provide evidence of the same liability insurance coverages. The amounts of insurance shall not be less than the following: Single Limit Coverage applying to Bodily and Personal Injury Liability and Property Damage: 51,000,000 per occurrence. (c) Scope of Coverage and Endorsements — Commercial General Liability. The following scope of coverage and endorsements must be indicated on the certificates: (I) By endorsement, include the City of Oakland, a municipal corporation, acting by and through its Board of Pon Commissioners, Port of Oakland, its Officers and Employees as additional insureds under the policy as to the work performed under this Agreement; (2) The coverage is primary and no other insurance carrier by Port will be called upon to contribute to a loss under this coverage; (3) The policy covers blanket contractual liability; (4) The policy limits of liability are provided on an occurrence basis; (5) The policy covers broad form property damage liability; (6) The policy covers personal injury as well as bodily injury liability; (7) The policy covers explosion, collapse and underground hazards; 4 Connecting Trail
