Matching Funds for BTA 3 April 18, 2011 <br /> Board/Commission Findings <br /> • At its November 18, 2010 meeting, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing and <br /> received a staff presentation on the draft 2010 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan and <br /> establishing a long -term Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) <br /> • The Planning Commission recommended that the City Council approve the Master Plan and <br /> establish a long -term Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee <br /> Fiscal Impact <br /> The $55,600 matching funds are to be appropriated from the Measure B Bicycle and Pedestrian <br /> fund by this action. <br /> /iii <br /> Tracy Vese , Finance 1 i ctor <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council adopt a resolution appropriating $55,600 of Measure B <br /> Bicycle and Pedestrian funds as matching funds towards the 2011 -12 Bicycle Transportation <br /> Account (BTA) grant. The project will implement the bicycle network in support of the San <br /> Leandro Priority Development Areas by placing Class II bike lanes and Class III bike routes in <br /> selected locations in conformance with the City's recently adopted Bicycle and Pedestrian <br /> Master Plan (Plan) and Design Guidelines. <br /> G:1 _Council Items In Process\APR I8'BTA 10•/.
