IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2011-080 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT <br /> WITH REDFLEX TRAFFIC SYSTEMS FOR THE RENEWAL OF THE <br /> RED LIGHT PHOTO ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM <br /> WI- IEREAS, Red Light Photo Enforcement Programs have been authorized by the <br /> California State Legislature and are governed under California Vehicle Code 21455.5; and <br /> WHEREAS, " Redflex Traffic Systems," has administered the program since September 13, <br /> 2005; and <br /> WHEREAS, statistical data has shown a decrease in the number of collisions at the five <br /> intersections where the cameras are located; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED as follows: <br /> That the City Council of the City of San Leandro does hereby authorize the City Manager to <br /> execute an agreement between the City of San Leandro and Redflex Traffic Systems for the renewal <br /> of the Red Light Photo Enforcement Program through December 31, 2018. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Prola and passed and adopted this 18th day of April, 2011, <br /> by the following called vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak (4) <br /> NOES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory; Mayor Cassidy (3) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: t i/ Vl 0I /UP,,(AS_.4"0✓l .Q <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
