CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR City Councilmembers announce calendar of upcoming events and coordinate attendance. Vice Mayor Gregory announced the Districts 1 and 2 Town Hall meeting on May 3 and the public meeting on the San Leandro Creels Hazardous Tree Removal Project on May 4t1' Councilmember Souza announced the Cinco de Mayo celebration at City Hall on May 5 th at 6:00 p.m. Councilmember Cutter announced the Relay for Life on May 21 Councilmember Prola announced the Davis Street Transfer Station Neighborhood Form on May 12 th ; the fundraiser at the Vine for Building Futures with Women and Children on May 12 and the San Leandro Education Foundation fundraiser on May 22 Councilmember Reed announced a May 12 workshop in Fremont for individuals interested in a State Commission appointment. 12. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS City Councilmembers report on meetings and other local events attended since the last meeting; report on attendance at conferences and seminars; and make brief comments on issues of concern. Councilmember Reed reported that she attended the Housing Authority Scholarship Committee meeting on April 21 st ; the Disaster Council meeting on April 22 a celebration honoring the Alta Mira Club on April 23 rd ; the dedication of the San Leandro Arts Education Center on April 25 th ; the Arbor Day tree planting at McKinley School, and the Halcyon Foothill Homeowners Association meeting on April 26 th ; the Housing Authority Negotiating Committee meeting, and the Taste of San Leandro on April 28 th ; the Family Services Counseling and Community Resource Center open house on April 29 and the Black Women Organized for Political Action (BWOPA) training for foster care parents at Chabot College on April 30 where she was a speaker. Councilmember Reed expressed hope that the City would consider proclaiming a day of recognition for the Alta Mira Club for its contributions to San Leandro. Councilmember Prola reported that he attended two meetings of the East Bay Dischargers Authority (EBDA) on April 19 and 21 a census data meeting at the Library on April 20 th ; the Oakland Airport Noise Management Form, and a meeting with representatives from the Congregations Organizing for Renewal (COR) on April 21 st ; the Easter egg hunt, and Senator Ellen Corbett's Women of the Year awards at the Alta Mira Club on April 23 rd ; the Arts Education Center ribbon - cutting on April 25 th ; the Arbor Day tree planting on April 26 th ; Leadership San Leandro's Taste of San Leandro on April 28 and the Democratic Convention in Sacramento this past weekend.
