Par Course Improvement (WW) <br /> P &S and CaII for Bids 2 June 6, 2010 <br /> Pathway construction will recycle the old asphalt by grinding the material and using it as base <br /> material under the new asphalt surface. The benefits of recycling include a reduction in project <br /> costs and fewer trips by trucks hauling material to the area. The exercise equipment will be <br /> purchased separately and installed by a specialty contractor after the pathway work is completed. <br /> Applicable General Plan Policv <br /> This project is consistent with General Plan Goal No. 21 — Rehabilitation of existing parks <br /> policy. <br /> Environmental Review <br /> California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) exemption has been filed with Alameda County <br /> for the project pursuant to Section 15302. <br /> Fiscal Impact • <br /> • The total cost of the Par Course Improvements project is $921,000, including design, <br /> construction and inspection staff time. <br /> • Construction is estimated at $810,000 <br /> . • The new exercise equipment is estimated at $60,000 <br /> • The paving project will have no impact on maintenance costs <br /> Budget Authority <br /> The improvements will be funded using Measure WW bond funding in account 150 -38 -322 and <br /> Park Development funds in account 122 -38 -322 (2010 -2011 CIP Budget).
