• • <br /> TITLE VII MAPS, BUILDINGS, AND SUBDIVISIONS <br /> Chapter 1.4 Signs <br /> Section 7 -14 -415: TRAFFIC SAFETY. <br /> (a) No sign shall be installed in such a manner that it will <br /> unreasonably interfere with, obstruct, confuse or <br /> mislead traffic. <br /> (b) No sign shall be permitted on a corner property unless <br /> first approved by the Traffic Engineer as not <br /> constituting a traffic hazard except a sign two (2) feet <br /> or less in height above curb grade or the bottom. edge of <br /> which is ten (10) feet or more above curb grade. <br /> Section 7 -14 -420: MAINTENANCE. Signs and sign structures shall <br /> be maintained at all times in a state of good repair, with all <br /> braces, bolts and structural Darts and supporting frames and <br /> fastenings reasonably free from deterioration, rot, rust, and <br /> loosening. No person shall maintain or permit to be maintained on <br /> any premises owned or controlled by him, any sign or sign <br /> structure which is in a sagging, leaning, fallen, decayed, broken, <br /> deteriorated or other dilapidated, unsafe condition. (Ord. No. <br /> 72 -34, 6/12/72) <br /> ARTICLE 5. GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> Section 7 -14 -500: WALL SIGNS ON FENCES. Subject to Site <br /> Development Sub- Commission aporoval, wall signs may be installed <br /> on fences. (Ord. No. 72 -34, 6/12/72) <br /> Section 7 -14 -505: FREESTANDING SIGNS. No single property or <br /> occupancy of less than twenty (20) acres is permitted more than <br /> one (1) freestanding sign per each street frontage. <br /> • <br /> Section 7 -14 -510: SIGN OVERHANG. Projecting roof and <br /> freestanding signs may be permitted overhang subject to the <br /> following regulations: <br /> (a) Sign overhang shall not exceed the lesser of: <br /> (1) one (1) foot for each ten (10) feet of building <br /> frontage of the occupancy upon which the sign is <br /> installed; or <br /> (2) (a) five (5) feet; or <br /> (b) subject to conditional use approval, ten (10) <br /> feet, if entirely over private property. <br /> 9/28/82 -10- <br />
