• <br /> • • <br /> • <br /> TITLE VII MAPS, BUILDINGS, AND SUBDIVISIONS <br /> • <br /> Chapter 14 Signs • <br /> (a) No sign other than a roof or canopy sign shall extend to <br /> . a height of more than four (4) feet above the roof line. <br /> (b) No roof or canopy sign shall extend to a height of more <br /> than four (4) feet above the point of installation, <br /> except that twenty (20) percent of its length may extend <br /> to a height of six (6) feet above such point. <br /> (c) No roof or canopy sign shall extend above top of the <br /> roof of the building on which it is installed except <br /> that where the top of the roof is less than six (6) feet <br /> above the top of the canopy or marquee or the lowest <br /> . part of the roof, a sign complying with the provisions <br /> of subparagraph (b) hereof may be installed on the top <br /> of the canopy or marquee or on the lowest part of the <br /> roof. (Ord. No. 72 -34, 6/12/72) <br /> Section 7 -14 -530: COMBINATION OF TYPES OF SIGNS. No single <br /> business or occupancy, except a business engaged in the management <br /> of a shopping center, is permitted more than two (2) of the <br /> followinc types of signs on the same street frontage: <br /> f reestanding, projecting or roof. (Ord. No. 72 -34, 6/12/72) <br /> Section 7 -14 -535: MULTIPLE OCCUPANCIES. Where there are <br /> multiple occupancies, other than a shopping center, of the ground <br /> floor of a property in a Professional, Rapid Transit, Civic <br /> Center or Commercial (other than C -4) District, each occupancy <br /> shall be entitled to that portion of the permitted sign area as is <br /> attributable to the building frontage of such occupancy. Where <br /> the combined building frontage is less than the total frontage of <br /> the property, the remaining permitted sign area may be used for <br /> signs accessory to the property or occupancies as a whole, <br /> provided that no more than twenty (20) percent of such remaining <br /> permitted sign area shall be dedicated to any individual <br /> occupancy. Where there are additional occupancies on other than <br /> the ground floor of a property, the Site Development <br /> Sub -Commission may permit such occupancies additional wall, canopy <br /> or under - canopy sign area not to exceed a combined total of <br /> twenty -five (25) percent of the sign area otherwise permitted for <br /> such property. <br /> Section 7 -14 -540: PRODUCT ADVERTISEMENT: LIMITATION. No more <br /> than twenty (20) percent of the face area of any sign other than <br /> a pedestrian advertising panel or an off -site advertising sign <br /> shall be devoted to the brand names of goods; other than the <br /> primary stock in trade sold upon the property, except with Site <br /> Development Sub - Commission approval.
