• • . <br /> • <br /> TITLE VII MAPS, BUILDINGS, AND SUBDIVISIONS <br /> Chapter 14 Signs <br /> • <br /> Section 7 -14 -560: TEMPORARY SIGNS AND WIND SIGNS: DECLARATION <br /> OF INTENT: REMOVAL. Temporary signs and wind signs relating to a <br /> special event or a pending election may be installed pursuant to <br /> this section, subject to the following regulations: <br /> (a) Installation for a special event may be permitted: <br /> (1) For a single business or occupancy other than a <br /> business or occupancy engaged in the open -air sale <br /> of Christmas trees, not more than twice in a <br /> calendar year and for a period of not more than two <br /> (2) weeks, provided that no such installation shall <br /> have occurred within the immediately preceding <br /> sixty (60) days. <br /> (2) For a single business or occupancy engaged in the <br /> open -air sale of Chiistmas trees, for the period of <br /> zoning approval under the Zoning Ordinance. <br /> (3) For an organized group of merchants licensed to <br /> do business within the City of San Leandro, for a <br /> period of not more than two (2) weeks. <br /> • <br /> (4) For any other special event, for a reasonable <br /> period prior to the special event and for the <br /> period of the special event. <br /> (b) Installation for a pending election may be permitted for <br /> a period from any time prior to the election until ten <br /> (10) days after such election. <br /> (c) Any person intending to install temporary signs or wind <br /> signs relating to a special event or a pending election, <br /> or any person on whose behalf such signs are to be <br /> installed, shall, at least two (2) days prior to such <br /> intallation, file a declaration of such intent with the <br /> Building Regulations Superintendent . Such declaration <br /> shall contain an agreement to remove such signs within <br /> the applicable time limitation of subparagraph (a) or <br /> (b) hereof and an agreement to pay any cost incurred by <br /> the City as a result of the declarant's failure to <br /> remove such signs. Upon failure of the declarant to <br /> remove such signs within such time, the Building • <br /> Regulations Superintendent shall immediately remove such <br /> signs and collect the cost of such removal from the <br /> declarant pursuant to such agreement. <br /> 9/82/82 -14- <br /> • <br />
