The following signs are <br /> permitted in the C -3 -A (Central Business - Multiple Residence <br /> Combining) District: <br /> (a) For uses permitted subject to R -7 District regulations, <br /> signs as permitted in the R -7 Distirct. <br /> (b) For all other uses, signs as permitted in the C -3 <br /> District. <br /> Section 7 -14 -735: C -4 DISTRICT. The following signs are <br /> permitted in the C -4 (General Commercial) District: <br /> (a) Non - illuminated or illuminated wall, roof, projecting or <br /> canopy signs not to exceed three hundred (300) square <br /> feet in sign area per occupancy. <br /> (b) One (1) under - canopy sign per each street frontage. <br /> (c) Subject to Site Development Sub -Commission approval and <br /> within the sign area limitation of Subdivision (a), <br /> freestanding signs. <br /> • <br /> (d) Subject to Site Development Sub- Commission approval and <br /> within the sign area limitation of Subdivision (a), two <br /> (2) sign display structures. <br /> (e)' Subject to conditional use approval, signs as designated <br /> in Subdivisions (a), (c) and (d) in excess of the sign <br /> area limitation of Subdivision (a), provided that: <br /> (1) such signs are installed within six hundred (600) <br /> • feet of the right -of -way line of the Bay Area Rapid <br /> Transit District; and <br /> (2) such signs are primarily visible from the Bay Area • <br /> Rapid Transit District facilities; and <br /> • <br /> (3) such signs are part of an overall program for <br /> improving the property on which such signs are to <br /> be installed. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> 9/28/82 -22- <br /> • <br /> • <br />
