CDBG Public Services Agreements June 20, 2011 <br />On May 27, 2011, HUD finally provided the City with its CDBG allocation ($655,903) for FY <br />2011 -2012. The new allocation reflected a slightly greater funding reduction of 16.5 %. Funding <br />for public services is further reduced from $99,019 to $98,383 which results in a 17.27 %, instead <br />of the 16 %, funding reduction for the public services agencies. Funding for general <br />administration and planning also further absorbs a funding reduction from $132,026 to $131,177. <br />Capital improvement funds for public facilities and improvements are reduced from $444,657 to <br />$441,913 as well. <br />Current City Council Policy <br />Current City Council Policy is defined by the FY 2010 -2014 Consolidated Plan adopted on April <br />19, 2010. <br />Previous City Council Action(s) <br />On April 18, 2011, the City Council approved the FY 2011 -2012 Consolidated Action Plan <br />which included these nine (9) projects described above. <br />City Council Committee Review and Action <br />Not Applicable. <br />Applicable General Plan Policy <br />Not Applicable. <br />Permits and /or Variances Granted <br />Not Applicable. <br />Environmental Review <br />National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) environmental reviews of each project have <br />been completed. <br />Code Compliance Review <br />Not Applicable. <br />Board /Commission Findings <br />On February 24, 2010, the Human Services Commission recommended that the above - <br />mentioned nine (9) public service projects /activities be awarded CDBG funds under the CAP <br />Program for FY 2010 -2011 and FY 2011 -2012. <br />The Human Services Commission also convened on April 27`", 2011 and approved the 2 nd -year <br />(FY 2011 -2012) CDBG funding, which was reduced by 17.27 %, for these public service <br />proj ect /activities. <br />Summary Of Public Outreach Efforts <br />Not Applicable. <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The public services projects including the ECHO fair housing services will cost $110,067 and be <br />funded by FY 2011 -2012 CDBG monies in these account numbers: <br />
