G.E. Chen Construction was the apparent lowest responsible bidder. G.E. Chen Construction brings a wealth of experience to the San Leandro Residential Airport Noise Insulation Program. Over the last 10 years G.E. Chen Construction has done sound insulation programs for the City of San Bruno, City of Daly City, San Mateo County, San Jose International Airport and Reno/Tahoe Airport. • The Port of Oakland is currently reviewing submitted apparent lowest bidder for Introductory Phase as well as the final budget for construction on the 10 single family homes. • On January 17, contract goes before Council for approval; upon approval, the City of San Leandro will then award contract to G.E. Chen Construction. • Project Architect to begin architectural surveys of the next 95 single family homes for Phase 1. Surveys should begin at end of January and continue through mid March. • Pre - construction meeting for Introductory Phase to be tentatively held on February 1. • In February, the City to issue Notice to Proceed to contractor. • Contractor conducts measurement verifications of windows and doors on the 10 Introductory Phase homes in late February. Attached is a revised schedule. I will update you as to any further changes as they occur.
