Update on Noise Insulation Program <br /> William Schock gave an update on the insulation of the 10 pilot homes. The Port will be <br /> reviewing the final budget and project specifications for the first 10 homes within the next <br /> few days. Staff anticipates advertising for bids in September. If this contractor performs <br /> well on the first 10 homes, it is likely the same contractor will be given the contract for the <br /> remaining homes. Once construction is underway on these 10 homes, announcement will be <br /> made once again to recruit the remaining 59 homes to fill out the full list of 200 homes for <br /> the project. <br /> Committee Member Starosciak received confirmation that there will be before and after <br /> testing of noise levels in a representative sample of the pilot homes to insure that the desired <br /> noise reduction is achieved. <br /> Committee Recommendations <br /> None <br /> 2. Review of Drafted Material for Website Page on Airport Noise <br /> At a previous Committee meeting, the suggestion was made that information be added to the <br /> City's website regarding airport noise issues.
