Since 2005 is nearly half over and only one meeting has been held thus far (with the City of San Leandro), we are concerned about I meeting our commitments. The City of San Leandro has requested that the Aviation Committee meetings scheduled for September 26 arid December 5, 2005, be tentatively reserved for its representatives. The remaining three meetings scheduled in 2005 will be reserved for the City of Alameda, CLASS (CORC) and KJOB. The dates of these meetings are: July 25, August 29 and October 24. City of San Leandro representatives have requested the Aviation Committee to schedule an evening meeting in 2005 for residents of San Leandro in lieu of the Aviation Committee's usual meeting time and venue. Although the Port Commission appreciates the request, it is impractical for the Aviation Committee to divert from its regular schedule. Asa public body, the entire Board of Port Commissioners • meets twice a month and its 6 committees meet at least once a month. In order to be fair to all • constituents, the Port feels it is best to maintain a consistent meeting schedule during business hours. For those unable to attend daytime meetings, please keep in mind that the Oakland Airport- Community Noise Management Forum, an advisory group:to the Pores Executive Director that meets quarterly from 6:30- 8:30 p.m., provides an excellent opportunity to communicate with the Port Please advise us at your earliest convenience in regards to specific agenda items you may wish to discuss at your scheduled meetings.
