ADA Ramp <br />P &S and Call for Bids <br />ANALYSIS <br />18, 2011 <br />The City issues an annual construction contract for repair of sidewalks and installation of <br />ramps. This year's CDBG funding should be sufficient to build about 25 ramps. As part <br />of the project, ADA - compliant ramps and accessibility modifications to traffic signal <br />pedestrian push buttons at three intersections will be installed using TDA grant funds. <br />Previous City Council Actions <br />On April 18, 2011, by Resolution No. 2011 -072, the City Council approved the allocation <br />of $97,449 in CDBG funds. <br />On May 4, 2009, by Resolution No 2009 -059, the City Council approved the allocation <br />of $29,543 in grant funds for a TDA grant. <br />On April 19, 2010, by Resolution No 2010 -040, the City Council approved the allocation <br />of $48,511 in grant funds for a TDA grant. <br />Applicable General Plan Policy <br />Policy 14.07 — Pedestrian Environment — Strive to achieve a more comfortable <br />environment for pedestrians in all areas of San Leandro. <br />Environmental Review <br />The project is categorically exempt from the environmental review requirements of <br />CEQA under Class 15, Minor Land Subdivisions, of Title 5, Chapter 1 of the San <br />Leandro Administrative Code. <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The total cost of the project, including design fees, construction administration, <br />inspection, and construction, is estimated to be $175,000. <br />Budget Authority <br />• Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds were allocated in the 2011- <br />2012 City budget in the amount of $97,449 (Account No. 165 -43 -230) <br />• TDA grant funds have been allocated in the 2009 -2010 and 2010 -2011 City budgets <br />in the amount of $78,054 f r this project (Accounts No. 150 -36 -291 $52,000 and <br />150 -36 -295 $48,511, resp ctively) <br />Carla odriguez, Dept# tinance Director <br />
