Annual Sidewalk Program 2011 -12 <br />P &S and Call for Bids 2 July 18, 2011 <br />year. These ramps are installed adjacent to new street work, at resident requested locations and <br />eventually at all intersections. The City pays the entire cost for the installation of ramps, the <br />repair of sidewalks along the frontage of City facilities, and the sidewalk within a curb return. <br />Analysis <br />The City awards a construction contract for the sidewalk repair program yearly. This year's <br />contract is estimated at $400,000. It is anticipated that these funds will replace 1,000 linear feet <br />of curb and gutter, 10,000 square feet of sidewalk, and 85 curb ramps. Actual quantities will be <br />determined by the amount of requests for work the City receives from residents. <br />Environmental Review <br />This project is categorically exempt per CEQA Section 15301 (C). <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The total project cost is $542,726 and is funded by Measure B Streets & Roads and Bicycle & <br />Pedestrian funds. The construction portion is estimated at $400,000.
