1.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br />Contractor shall provide design services for the completion of construction documents for <br />street renovations along San Leandro Boulevard between Davis and Williams Streets and <br />include the following features: <br />• Provide on- street parking and a landscaped median by reducing the existing travel <br />lane configurations within the existing street right of way. <br />• Sidewalk reconstruction to provide wider walkways, added landscaping, new street <br />lights, and sidewalk bulb -outs with enhanced crosswalk paving. <br />• Installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection with Parrott Street. <br />In addition, supplementary enhancements will be made on East 14` Street. These <br />improvements include the following: <br />• Installation of ornamental way - finding signage and enhanced crosswalk paving <br />between Davis Street and Juana Avenue <br />• Installation of bicycle racks for the AC Transit bus stops at Davis Street and East 14th <br />Street <br />2.0 CITY AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />2.1 Design Requirements <br />This project shall meet all applicable code requirements including, but not limited to the <br />2009 International Building Code editions; as well as requirements of the Pacific Gas and <br />Electric Company, East Bay Municipal Utility District, City of San Leandro standards, <br />and all other affected agencies and utilities. <br />Project design shall also incorporate current NPDES permit requirements for storm water <br />treatment. Project shall also incorporate Bay Friendly landscape criteria where practical. <br />2.2 Format of Deliverables <br />All submittals and deliverables described below shall conform to the following: <br />• All construction drawings shall be provided to the City of San Leandro in <br />AutoCAD 2010 format. <br />• Specifications and other written materials shall be provided to the City and <br />prepared in Microsoft Office 2007 utilizing the 2009 Edition of the Standard <br />Specification for Public Works Construction ( "Greenbook ") standard <br />specification format. For proprietary items, contractor shall provide at least two <br />available products or brands as appropriate to comply with "or equal" <br />requirements. <br />• Details shall conform to the City of San Leandro Standard Plans where <br />applicable. City Standard drawings shall be included in the project construction <br />detail sheets. <br />• Drawings shall be on City standard title block (22" x 34" size). <br />Consulting Services Agreement between July 18, 2011 <br />City of San Leandro and Golden Associates -- Exhibit A Page 2 of 6 <br />
