Tenant shall not install .facilities for, nor operate on <br />the land above or below a highway or freeway, a gasoline or <br />petroleum supply station, nor shall the transportation of <br />gasoline or pertroleum products be permitted under the viaduct <br />structures. <br />5.5 Explosives and Flammable Materials <br />The premises shall not be used for the manufacture of <br />flammable materials or explosives, or for any storage of <br />flammable materials, explosives, or other materials or other <br />purposes deemed by Landlord to be a potential fire or other <br />hazard to the transportation facililty. The operation and <br />maintenance of the leased premises shall be subject to <br />regulations of Landlord so as to protect against fire or other <br />hazard impairing the use safety and appearance of the <br />transportation facility. The 'occupancy and use of the area shall <br />not be such as will permit hazardous or unreasonably <br />objectionable smoke, fumes, vapors or odors to rise above the <br />surface of the traveled way of the transportation facility. <br />5.6 Signs <br />Tenant shall not construct, erect, maintain or permit <br />any sign, banner or flag upon the premises without the prior <br />written approval of Landlord. The term "sign means any card, <br />cloth, paper, metal, painted or wooden sign of any character <br />placed for any purpose on or to the ground or any tree, wall, <br />bush, rock, fence, building, structure, trailer or thing. <br />Landlord may remove any unapproved sign, banner or flag existing <br />on the premises, and Tenant shall be liable to and shall <br />—5— <br />
