Support public facilities and other community improvements. <br />CDBG-funded projects: <br />Bay Area Community Services (BAGS), which was awarded a $25,000 CDBG CIP loan <br />in FY 2008-2009 for the ADA accessibility renovation of its crisis center Woodroe Place, <br />expended all of its funds the City provided. After securing $499,500 in EHAPCD <br />Emergency Housing Funds and a $428,500 grant from the Alameda County Board of <br />Supervisors, BRCS was able to begin the rehabilitation of Woodroe Place, which <br />provides short-term crisis support to Alameda County resident severe mental illness <br />who are homeless or at -risk of becoming homeless. BAC,*i tilizec the $25,000 for pre - <br />construction costs, specifically fees for architectural d pivil engineering, building <br />permit, legal, and project management.
