• DSFRC's Community Counseling Program provides crisis intervention and short-term <br />counseling to individuals, couples, families, children/youth, and seniors and groups. <br />Community Counseling Services include mental health assessments and a variety of <br />consultation services including group counseling for anger management, domestic <br />violence intervention (for perpetrators), and parenting skills. Individuals and families <br />facing personal and familial challenges receive mental health support in confidential <br />settings that enable them to develop tools and skills to deal with the challenging <br />situations and to improve the quality of their lives. For FY 2010-2011, seventy-eight (78) <br />San Leandro individuals (in group, family, couples or individ ssions) received crisis <br />intervention and/or short-term community counseling se ' es afd access to eligible <br />family resource center services. About 41% (or 32) o_;_` 78 individuals reported a <br />reduction in the severity or frequency of the presents > su � supported by a decrease <br />in high-risk behavior. <br />• Girls, Inc.
