Knight Memorial Dedication <br />Saturday, September 24, 2011 <br />12-12:30 p.m., Marina Park <br />(Memorial is located just to the right and before <br />the Par Course — park in the south parking lot.) <br />Join us as we celebrate and honor the life of Luster Knight, who was loved by <br />all and an inspiration to all who knew him. Luster Knight was an Alameda <br />County Firefighter and a well-known advocate who worked tirelessly and <br />enthusiastically for the betterment of the San Leandro Community. <br />The Memorial includes a bench with a memorial plaque overlooking the Bay <br />and Marina Park; his favorite park, and a fire engine red drinking fountain, <br />representing Luster's passion for inclusivity, accessibility and being a <br />firefighter. <br />The Memorial was made possible by the support and fundraising of the San <br />Leandro City Council and Recreation and Parks Commission; Alameda <br />County Fire, Local 55; Davis Street Family Resource Center and Leadership <br />San Leandro. <br />For more information about the Dedication please contact the San Leandro <br />Recreation and Human Services Department's customer service at 577-3462. <br />
