I. • EXHIBIT A FURNISH AND INSTALL FENCE AND ROLLING GATE AT POLICE DEPARTMENT PARKING LOT • Bid No. 11- 12.005 SCOPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS Work to be done will include furnishing and installation of: • 8' tall black vinyl coated cyclone fencing (8 gauge; '' /a" mesh, approximately 260 lineal • feet with top rail (please note that the eastern fence height and exact location on the slope needs to be determined, such that it is not visible from the City Hall Plaza above) • Top rail to be either galvanized and painted black to match vinyl or vinyl coated • Posts galvanized and painted to match with matching top caps • Bottom tensioner wire to be included • One (1) 8' tall by 17' wide single rolling gate with full concrete ground track • Two (2) 8 °tall x 4' wide walk gates (one on the north side and one on the west side, both at the top of the stairs) with Norton (or equivalent) hydraulic closer, Von Duprin panic push bar (City standard) matched to color of fence and Schlage lockset with "E" series core for each • • Conduit and wiring installed for three (3) card readers — one at each gate, minimum' /. ", exposed conduit to be in rigid pipe (Card readers to be supplied by City through Denalect Alarm) • Conduit and wiring to run from Pump Room in Police Department through planters to splice boxes at each gate, tying all together, terminating at NE gate. • One (1) rolling gate motor operator— Elite SL 3000UL or equivalent (entry to be controlled by "click to enter feature" via Police Department vehicle radio - card reader opening system also to be installed) and gate will open automatically for exiting vehicles • Override key switch for Alameda County Fire Department (AFCD) to be provided . • Provide a Knox box, (3200 surface, black, lift-off, No TS PS -01- 0693- 02 -06) to be located at the man gate closest to the PD for the AFCD key • Local key switch to•open and hold open gate in one position and place in automated mode in second position, key removable (should be with rolling gate motor set up) • Two (2) vehicle detectors (one connected to interior and exterior loop will provide a safety input preventing gate from dosing if a vehicle is present — second detector, (connected to a second interior loop) will provide automatic opening of gate for exiting vehicles) • • Photo switch to prevent gates from closing if the beam is broken • Provide and install three (3) safety edges - Leading edge of gate, end gate post and reverse gate post to be furnished with a 5' Miller model number MGO 20 or ME 120 (dependent upon bottom rail) safety edge or equivalent and signal the gate to open if an obstruction is encountered during the closing .cycle • Provide 120 VAC @20 AMP power, one circuit to the motor operator, from Pump Room at PD 11- 12.005 PD PARKING LOT FENCE & ROLLING GATE Page 120
