I. The property shall be secured during demolition and construction with a six (6) <br /> foot tall chain link fence and any other security measures in accordance with <br /> recommendation of the San Leandro Police Department. <br /> IX. POLICE DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. The applicant shall submit typical details and specifications for the security of the <br /> building, including security cameras or other surveillance devices; details subject <br /> to the review and approval of the San Leandro Police Department. <br /> B. All building addresses shall be placed in such a position as to be plainly visible <br /> and legible from the street. Said numbers shall contrast with their background <br /> and be visible at night. Details including number size and location shall be <br /> submitted for the review and approval of the Alameda County Fire Marshal and <br /> the Chief Building Official, prior to issuance of building permits. Specific <br /> property addresses will be assigned by the Building and Safety Services Division <br /> of the Community Development Department. <br /> C. Prior to the final inspection for the commercial/retail building, the following items <br /> shall be installed, details subject to the review and approval of the Police <br /> Department and the Community Development Director: <br /> 1. A robbery and burglary alarm. <br /> 2. A drop safe in the cashier's or manager's office. <br /> D. Window signs shall not exceed 25% of the visible window area and shall not be <br /> placed in a manner to obscure the view of inside the store. <br /> E. In the event a public pay telephone is proposed on the property, a written request <br /> shall be provided including the location, details and specifications to the City Police <br /> Department and the City Community Development Department. After review of the <br /> said submittal the City may approve or disapprove the proposal for the public pay <br /> telephone(s). <br /> X. FENCING AND /OR SCREENING REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Any new electrical or gas meters, utility switch boxes, telephone, interface cabinets, <br /> outdoor refuse, storage areas or other utility areas shall be screened from view by a <br /> fence, wall or landscaping; details subject to the approval of the Community <br /> Development Director. <br /> B. Any new roof top or exterior mechanical equipment for the building such as air <br /> conditioning/heating units, venting, or radio /television antennas shall be screened <br /> from view so as not to be visible from adjacent properties or streets to the <br /> satisfaction of the Community Development Director. <br /> Agreement to Conditions August 4, 2011 <br /> PLN2011 -00019 Page 14 of 15 <br />
