In particular, this coordination should include <br />understanding any problems with obtaining needed <br />funding. RESPONSIBLE AGENCIES: Cities, <br />counties, county health departments, and hospitals <br />xx <br />Alameda County <br />e -2 <br />Encourage hospitals in your community to work with <br />EQ LS <br />OSHPO to formalize arrangements with structural <br />WF FL <br />engineers to report to the hospital, assess damage, <br />SEC <br />and determine ifthe buildings can be reoccupied. <br />The program should be similar to San Francisco's <br />Building Occupan cy Resumption Program (BORP) <br />that permits owners orbuildings to hire qualified <br />structural on ginears to create building- specific post - <br />disaster inspection plans and allows these <br />engineers to become automatically deputized as <br />inspectors for these buildings in the event ofan <br />earthquake or other disaster. OSHPO, rather than <br />citylcounty building departments, has the authority <br />and responsibility for the structural integrity of <br />hospital structures.
