William Schock, the City's Chief Building Official, and Jim Richardson, Supervising <br />Building Inspector, provided information regarding compliance in San Leandro with state <br />and local building regulations in relation to seismic safety and building code enforcement. <br />Matt Tomas, Senior Planner, provided information regarding the City's General Plan and the <br />policies and recommendations it contains in relation to environmental hazards and <br />emergency preparedness. <br />Ian Willis, Police Lieutenant, provided information regarding emergency response <br />procedures for natural disasters. <br />Process for Updating Plan Sections <br />Representatives from these same departments reviewed the findings from 2005 and determined <br />that there were no revisions to recommend to City policies and programs for the 2010 ABAG <br />Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. No changes had occurred to City policies and programs since <br />2005. The opportunity to review draft mitigation <br />strategies was also published on the City of San Leandro website for public viewing. No public <br />comments were received from either the meeting or the internet posting. However, seeking <br />further comments, City will adopt the plan in a public hearing format that will provide further <br />opportunities for public comment.
