The Alameda County Registrar shall proceed and conduct the canvas <br /> of the results of said election in accordance with the provisions of the Elections Code, <br /> and shall deliver to the City of San Leandro the certification of the official results of said <br /> election. <br /> Section 7. The City Council shall, as soon as practicable thereafter, meet and <br /> . declare the results of said election. <br /> Section 8. Pursuant to Section 225(d) of Article 11 of the San Leandro City <br /> Charter, in the event that no candidate for the offices of Mayor or City Council receives <br /> at least 50% plus one of the votes cast for that office, the City Council shall provide for a <br /> run -off vote to determine the person elected.
