City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: April 2, 2012 <br />Resolution - SA <br />File Number: 12 -147 Agenda Section: CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO: City Council <br />FROM: Chris Zapata <br />City Manager <br />BY: Luke Sims <br />Community Development Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW: Not Applicable <br />TITLE: ADOPT: Resolution of the City Council of the City of San Leandro Acting in <br />its Capacity as the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the <br />City of San Leandro Approving the Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule <br />for Enforceable Obligations of the Former Redevelopment Agency Pursuant to <br />Health and Safety Code Section 34177 (accepts required report documenting <br />the debt obligations of the former San Leandro Redevelopment Agency. <br />Report authorizes and provides for funding of payments due through June 30, <br />2012 using the remaining redevelopment fund balance and funds to be <br />remitted by the County Auditor - Controller) <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro ( "Agency ") was a <br />redevelopment agency formed, existing and exercising its powers pursuant to California <br />Community Redevelopment Law, Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq. ( "CRL "); <br />WHEREAS, on January 9, 2012, the City Council affirmed its decision to serve as the <br />Successor Agency to the former Agency; <br />WHEREAS, on February 1, 2012, the Agency was dissolved pursuant to AB 1X 26, <br />and the Successor Agency is now charged with winding down operations and overseeing the <br />dissolution process in an orderly manner; <br />WHEREAS, staff has prepared a Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule for the <br />period of January 1, 2012; <br />WHEREAS, in approving the Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule, the City does <br />not intend to waive, nor shall the City be deemed to have waived any rights the City may have <br />pursuant to or in connection with any obligation listed on such Schedule, including without <br />limitation, the right to modify, amend, terminate or challenge any obligation listed on such <br />Schedule; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro acting in its capacity <br />City of San Leandro Page 1 Printed on 312712012 <br />
