SAN LEANDRO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE <br />TITLE I CITY COUNCIL <br />Chapter 8 Banner Policy <br />of the second installation date. Outside agencies may request no more than two 14 -day periods <br />per year. <br />If two appl i cants request the same two -week period, each group wi I I be al lotted one week. The <br />agency that submitted their application first will be able to choose their desired week. Either <br />applicant may request a substitute period for their banner, or if the two applicants agree, two <br />separate banners can be di splayed together (back to back) for two weeks. <br />The approved appl i cant wi I I bri ng the banner seven (7) days before i t i s to be i nstal I ed to the <br />Publ i c Works Servi ce Center at 14200 Chapman Road. If the banner i s not constructed properl y <br />and does not meet C i ty speci f i cat i ons, i t wi I I not be i nstal I ed. <br />An installation fee will be assessed as provided for in the San Leandro Administrative Code, <br />§6.4.100. Schools advertising an event or program which has been approved by the <br />Superintendent o f Schools, or in the case o f private schools the School Administrator, w i l l be <br />exempt from installation fees. <br />The appl i cant shal I pi ck up the banner withi n fourteen (14) days after the banner i s taken down. <br />Otherwi se, the City may di spose of it and charge the appl i cant for any costs associ aced. <br />The Ci ty wi I I i nstal I and remove the banners but i s not responsi bl e for thei r condi ti on duri ng thi s <br />period. The City reserves the right to remove any banner at anytime at the City's sole discretion. <br />No I i ghts, streamers, loose pieces, etc., areal lowed on the banner. <br />&1.8.130 STRUCTURAL SUPPORT, INSTALLATION. Any banner permitted herein shall <br />be constructed and erected solely in accordance with the specifications of the Engineering and <br />Transportation Department and to the extent applicable with the requirements of the State of <br />California Department of Transportation. <br />&1.8.135 INSURANCE AND INDEMNIFICATION. Applicants shall agree to indemnify <br />and hold harmless the City of San Leandro from any and all claims of liability for damage to <br />property or injury to person as a consequence of the i nstal I ati on of banners provi ded herein. <br />Entities requesting installation of Decorative banners in accordance with this Chapter shall also <br />provide the City with a Certificate of $1 million Liability Insurance, listing the City of San <br />Leandro as additional insured. <br />Department Responsible for Revision: Cite Clerk Chapter 1.8 <br />11/06/2006 Page 4 <br />
