We are not <br /> requesting reallocation of all of the funds from these two years. Some of the funds have already been <br /> spent and /or encumbered. We are asking for funding for the installation of bike lanes at locations in <br /> addition to those submitted in the original application. No bicycle improvements have been installed <br /> at these locations to date. Below are additional details. <br /> Request for change in scope for some of the 1999 -2000 allocation. Installation of a Class III Bike <br /> Route along Merced Street between Williams Street and Wicks Boulevard, installation of a Class II <br /> Bike Lane along Wicks Boulevard between Merced Street and Farallon Street and a Class I Bike Path <br /> along the Alameda County Flood Control Channel between Neptune Drive and Farnsworth Street. <br /> The change in scope is for the improvements along the flood Channel and clarification of the <br /> improvements planned along Merced Street and Wicks Boulevard. <br /> (Original allocation of $47,931. Amount requested is $15,000 less than the original allocation - <br /> $15,000 already spent on handicap ramps and reimbursed). <br /> Request for change in scope for some of the 2001 -2002 allocation. Installation of a Class 11 Bike Lane <br /> along Lewelling Boulevard between Sedgeman Street and Washington Avenue and a Class II1 Bike <br /> Route between Washington Avenue and Hesperian Boulevard. The change in scope is the deletion <br /> of bike improvements along Floresta Avenue and the addition of bike improvements along <br /> Lewelling Boulevard. <br /> (Original allocation $72,625. Amount requested is $55,000 less than the original allocation - $15,000 <br /> for handicap ramps already encumbered and $40,000 for bike lanes along Marina Boulevard and <br /> Neptune Drive already encumbered). <br /> • <br />
