IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2012-081 <br /> RESOLUTION DESIGNATING VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE FOR THE <br /> LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES 2012 ANNUAL CONFERENCE <br /> WHEREAS, the League of California Cities ( "League ") 2012 Annual Conference is <br /> scheduled for September 5 -7 in San Diego; and <br /> WHEREAS, an important part of the Annual Conference is the Annual Business Meeting, <br /> scheduled for September 7, in which the League membership considers and takes action on <br /> resolutions that establish League policy; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council must designate a voting delegate in order to vote at the <br /> Annual Business Meeting; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council may appoint up to two alternate voting delegates in the event <br /> that the designated voting delegate is unable to serve in that capacity. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br /> follows: <br /> That Councilmember Diana Souza is hereby designated as the voting delegate; and <br /> That Vice Mayor Michael Gregory is hereby designated as the alternate voting delegate. <br /> Introduced by Councilmember Prola and passed and adopted this 2nd day of July, 2012, by <br /> the following called vote: <br /> Members of the Council: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Cutter, Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak; <br /> Mayor Cassidy (7) <br /> NOES: None (0) <br /> ABSENT: None (0) <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
