Appendix C • 1 A <br /> Page 5 � <br /> 1304 Requests to be Notified <br /> Requests to be notified when applications are to be accepted for a specific examination may, at <br /> the discretion of the Director, be filed in the Commission's offices on forms provided. When the <br /> examination is announced these notices will be mailed forthwith to those persons. <br /> 1308 Contents of Announcements <br /> • <br /> Announcements shrill specify the title and salary range of the class for which the examination is <br /> announced; the nature of the work to be performed; the qualification required; the time; place and <br /> manner of making application; the date of the examination; and other pertinent information. <br /> 1316 Specific Requirements <br /> Persons applying to take an examination must possess the requirements established for that <br /> examination as specified on the official announcement. The Commission may specify as <br /> requirements any or all of the following: Residence, sex, State licenses or certificates, professional <br /> status, education, training, and experience. Age shall not be a requirement except that the <br /> compulsory retirement age established by the County Employees Retirement Act of 1937 shall be <br /> the maximum age for all classes in the classified service and whenever a minimum age or a <br /> minimum and a maximum age limit is required by law for any class, the Commission shall set <br /> age limits to comply with such law. <br /> 1320 Documentary Proof of Requirements <br /> Applicants may be required to submit documentary proof that they possess the required <br /> education, licenses, certificates, or professional status, as well as evidence of satisfactory training <br /> and experience. <br /> 1324 Fingerprinting <br /> The Commission may require that candidates in an examination be fingerprinted at any stage <br /> of the examination process. Any candidate who refuses to submit to fingerprinting shall be <br /> disqualified in the examination. <br /> 1328 Form of Application <br /> Any individual may apply to take an examination by filing a prescribed form on which he states <br /> that he meets the announced requirements for such examination and that he understands that <br /> he will be eliminated at any stage in such examination if it develops that in fact he does not meet <br /> the announced requirements. This form must be filed at the office of the Commission on or before <br /> the closing date specified in the examination announcement, except that when a sufficient number <br /> of applications have not been received up to the closing date, the director may accept applications <br /> in the period between the closing date and the scheduled date of the examination.
