Medical (Retiree) <br /> The City shall pay contributions required by the health plans' two -party rate <br /> for retired City management employees who are currently members of one of the — <br /> City's three health plans. The City shall contribute to the health plan two - <br /> party rate costs until the retired employee is eligible for Medicare coverage. <br /> The maximum amount to be contributed by the City may not exceed Three Hundred <br /> Forty -one Dollars and four cents ($341.04) to the Kaiser Health Plan, Three <br /> Hundred Thirty -two Dollars and seventeen cents ($332.17) to the Blue Cross Health <br /> Plan, and Three Hundred Sixty Dollars and ten cents ($360.10) per month to the <br /> Qual -Med Health Plan. In the event the amounts required by the health plans <br /> exceed the maximum City contribution, such excess amounts shall be paid by the <br /> retiree. <br /> Retired' employee dependent eligibility for City health plan contribution is <br /> conditional upon the active enrollment of the retired employee. If a retired <br /> employee moves outside the service area of his /her medical plan, the retiree will <br /> be allowed an opportunity within thirty (30) days of such move to change medical <br /> insurance coverage. If a retired employee remarries, the retiree may add the <br /> retiree's spouse to the medical insurance coverage at City expense. <br /> The parties mutually agree to explore the possibility of offering to a retiree <br /> 65 years of age or older, an optional premium payment to be used toward an <br /> individual medical supplement conversion plan, under which retirees : may be <br /> • offered the option of taking a reduced premium contribution by the City prior to <br /> reaching age sixty -five (65). The availability of such coverage, the cost <br /> thereof, and other related matters is unknown to the parties at this time. <br /> However, the parties agree to meet during the term of this agreement to explore <br /> such options and alternatives. In no case, shall the City's obligation to pay <br /> premiums exceed the sums and /or costs described above. <br /> C. Dental (Active) <br /> The City shall contribute a maximum of Sixty -eight Dollars and fourteen cents <br /> ($68.14) per month per eligible management employee for current dental coverage <br /> provided by Travelers Insurance Company. Any increases in dental insurance <br /> premiums during the term of this Agreement shall be split equally between the <br /> City and employee. <br /> No change in dental plan carrier, or level of benefits shall . be made unless <br /> agreed to by the Management Organization. <br /> D. Dental (Retiree) <br /> The City shall contribute a maximum of Sixty -eight Dollars and fourteen cents <br /> ($68.14) monthly toward the dental plan costs for each retired City who <br /> is currently a member of the City's dental plan, or who was a member of the <br /> City's dental plan and retired on or after January 1, 1980. Any increases in <br /> dental plan costs during the term of this Agreement shall be split equally <br /> between the City and the retired employee. <br /> No change in dental plan carrier, or level of benefits shall be made unless <br /> agreed to by the Management Organization. <br /> - 312 2 • <br />
