San Leandro’s Business Incentives include: <br /> <br />One-Stop Permitting <br />The City’s one-stop permit center and fast, efficient review process helps ensure that projects are <br />completed on time and within budget. <br />Energy Efficiency <br />The City of San Leandro has a program to facilitate energy efficiency improvements at commercial <br />buildings. The program offers matching funds up to $50,000.  <br />Rebate on Utility Tax for Large Users <br />The City rebates 50% of utility user tax dollars paid in excess of $25,000. <br />LINKS Shuttle <br />San Leandro has a free and convenient shuttle that runs weekdays every 20 minutes from the Downtown <br />BART Station through the industrial area, transporting employees to and from work. <br />Commercial Façade Improvement <br />To support aesthetic improvements to the exterior of <br />buildings, architectural and technical assistance is <br />provided to property owners and tenants. The City also <br />reimburses up to 50% of project costs with a maximum <br />contribution of $50,000. <br />Through participation in the Energy Efficiency Program, Mi Rancho Tortilla Factory <br />identified opportunities to reduce use of cardboard in their packaging and installed <br />over 200 new motion-sensing lighting fixtures in their factory. <br /> <br />Result: Savings of over $225,000 annually, <br />a 2,000% return on investment! <br />Broadband Connectivity <br />The City reimburses qualifying businesses for up to 50% of <br />their one-time costs to connect to an internet service <br />provider’s network with a maximum contribution of $10,000.
