File Number: 13-217 <br />Current Agency Policies <br />Maintain and enhance the City’s infrastructure . <br />Applicable General Plan Policies <br />Policy 52.07: Ensure that sufficient funding is provided for the ongoing maintenance of <br />City-owned facilities, including streets, street lights, traffic signals, landscaping, street trees, <br />storm drains, public buildings, and other infrastructure. <br />Permits and/or Variances Granted <br />This work will be done under the following permits and/or approvals: <br />·U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Permit <br />·San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission Permit <br />·California Department of Fish and Wildlife Authorization <br />·San Francisco Bay Area Regional Water Board Certification <br />·Alameda County Flood Control Permit <br />Environmental Review <br />This project is categorically exempt from CEQA per section 15302(c): Replacement or <br />reconstruction of existing utility systems and/or facilities involving negligible or no expansion of <br />capacity. A notice to this effect was filed with the Alameda County Recorder on April 21, 2011. <br />Summary of Public Outreach Efforts <br />There has been no public outreach for the project. The bridge will remain open for <br />pedestrians and bicyclists during the repair. <br />Fiscal Impacts <br />This project will cost $375,000; the construction contract is expected to cost $250,000. <br />The project will be funded by the following: <br />·Measure B Streets & Roads funds in account 144-38-324, authorized in the FY 11-12 <br />budget <br />·A federal grant under the Bridge Maintenance and Repair Program in account 150-38- <br />324, which will be fully appropriated prior to award <br />PREPARED BY: Nick Thom, Senior Engineer, Engineering and Transportation Department <br />Page 2 City of San Leandro Printed on 5/29/2013
